Such busy times! Heading to Milano next week to compete with my skull artwork

Working a lot to get everything organised for Milano and at the same time really busy on building the big dragon for Trolska Skogen. I'm in charge of the head and parts of the body as well as all the paintwork.

I have been working for the past month or so on a BIG secret project! It has been a secret for quite some time now, but now we can let you all in on what we are doing and what I've been up to! 

As you might know I am part from working with makeup, also  a creator of various props and masks for filmproductions and other sets. BUT Never before have I been booked to create something as big as I am creating now. This project is for a place called Trolska Skogen www.trolskaskogen.se  which is an adventure/ fairytale park for kids not far from where I live. In fact, it is just a 5 minute drive away from me in a place called Mellanfjärden. Trolska Skogen booked me for a special mission. To create a big big BIG dragon head. 

Trolska Skogen is such a beautiful fairytale place, where kids and adults can come for a visit and gets to experience and walk though a forest full ot myths and legends based on the folklores in Sweden. The adventurepark has and is being built up step by step. Last year it was trolls and goblins, and this year is the year of the elves and the dragon.  This is where I come in the picture. To help and build the big dragon sculpture for the forrest. 

So after many meetings and contemplatons about what material to use and how to create this big dragon, we are now building it.. When I say big, I am talking BIG. It measures many meters in lenght and hight, I will not reveal exactly in numbers HOW big it is, but take my word for it, it is massive :)

Well I am not working on this on my own, I am part of this great team put together to create this beautiful dragon to be and the journey to get there is such an adventorous one. Tricky, difficult but oh so much fun! My part in this mainly is to be in charge of the dragons head !! I love it! I have a thing about skulls as you might know www.skullartistry.com , so what better than to get to create a BIG dragon skull! The challenge I guess for me with this dragon is not to create a "evil monster dragon" so that it will  scare the hell out of kids. So my challenge is to make it look rather kind, "cute" and not monstorous. The dragon has been sleeping for a hundred years, so it is a rather tired dragon laying there in the forrest.

Now, the dragon head I'm working on is so big, I can climb out from the dragons eyes and I am climbing on top of the head  to reach all parts when constructing it... and for example one tooth will be the lenght of my arm. I will not upload many photos of the dragon since it will be a "surprise" for this summers adventures and I so recommend for you to come and visit Trolska Skogen this summer!! But a few sneaky photos will be uploaded later on :)

Today, I am in Stockholm and will be so for the next few days! I am at Face Stockholm Makeup School teaching students the art of bodymakeup and airbrush body art! I will spend 3 days here teaching and then back working on the dragon on Friday!

I have been so busy working with Skulls and Bones Artwork www.skullartistry.com . I've been away to the wild life trade show "Vildmarksmässan" in Stockholm last week and exhibited my skull artwork there and had a great show and new collaborations coming my way! I have also recently moved houses, so still unpacking and trying to sort out our new house! It will be awesome when finished!

Now I am working with Trolska skogen www.trolskaskogen.se on a big secret project which I will reveal when it is not a secret any longer! So heading there now, and I will be working for Trolska Skogen for the next few months ahead!

A while ago I worked with fantastic musician Per Jonsson, AKA Preybird. www.preybird.com

I created a white feather bird creation for a photoshoot with Preybird, this creation was for the cover of Preybirds new album that soon will be released!!! I also worked with great photographer Tobias Linderholm on this photoshoot , check Tobias blog out here http://tobholm.blogspot.com/

Here are a few sneaky prieview photos from the photoshoot we had and  the mask I created! I will keep you updated on when the album is out and available for you to get your hands on!  I have worked with Per Jonsson before, I created a black Preybird mask for him to wear, so it was an honor to be able to create a white piece for him this time, a female version. I cannot wait to see the result of it all!

Right!!! I have to show you this one as well, a competition in Sweden, where you can win one of these awesome stunning looking leather Jackets from Jofama, a competition organized by Plaza Kvinna. www.plazakvinna.com

I have entered, and I am so keeping my fingers crossed to get my hands on the jacket called "Hanna". Just adore it. I know it would fit me, my style and looks! Spring is coming, and what better to celebrate that than with a new leather jacket?

My leather jacket I bought as a gift to myself 3 years ago, when I turned 30, got stolen last year. I have been on the lookout for a new one since then. I was so upset when loosing my jacket, and really miss it. I loved it.

Both of these Jofama jackets are stunning, but "Hanna" is the one I would choose, if I had to make a choice.

Tea tree oil products are one of my favourites ones. I travelled for a year in Australia, and I always had various Tea Tree Oil products with me in my backpack. I used them to treat sunburns, sore lips, cuts, insect bites, sore and cracked feets...

I use tea tree oil products here in Sweden too, for the same reasons. Australian Bodycare Tea Tree oil products are just oustanding. When working as a makeup artist, I tend to keep tea tree oil products with me, and this kit would be awesome to get my hands on!!! I suggest you check it out!

At the moment I am really busy working on a "Secret Project". I cannot tell you what it is or show you any photos until the entire project has been given the green light to go official. But this much I can tell you that I am part of a creative team and we are about to build and create something VERY VERY BIG. Well, this project is by far the biggest thing I have created. It is massive!!

At the moment I am working on a prototype in paper mache and I will hopefully finish it soon... fingers crossed we will also be able to reveal all details to the public soon so that you can follow our journey and the progress and process of this project!

Well, I will now fetch another cup of coffee and keep on working on this model... I need to get it finished!

The kids show called "Mytologerna" which I was working on last autumn is airing every Tuesday now in Sweden, 19.20 Swedish Time. Previously I uploaded photos of "Tomten", and since then "Älvan, Mylingen & Näcken" has aired. Tonight another episode coming up on URplay. Not sure which one, but there is 12 of them to come!

I will edit some more photos of all the characters, but at the moment I am too busy working with various "secret to be released soon" projects, so I simply don't have the time. I have got so many photos from the show, and it takes a long time to go through them all. Well, here is a link to where you can see the show, mind you, it is in Swedish. All makeup, mask work and hair design by me. Had a blast working with the team behind this production...

Website; For such a long time I have been meaning to work on updating my Shara Creations website, but I have been too busy working and have not had the time! I am working full time with my Shara Creations as well as running my Skulls And Bones Artwork. www.skullartistry.com

Anyway, this Shara Creations website of mine needed a new look, updated work cv and a better way to find things I have created/things I do or can do for you as a private person or for your company/production. So Fredrik Fernlund, my IT-guru and technical right hand took the matter into his capable hands and updated my website!!!

Fredrik has been and is awesome to work with, he has set up and helps me with all my Social Media platforms, websites, marketing, launches etc Much appreciated since I do not heart technology too much, and I love the new look on my website!

So Thanks to Fredrik my website is now easier to browse and has got better usability, e.g divided into chategories, more photos of my work, text and information, videos organized, CV updated, behind the scenes photos, links..etc. And I will now be able to focus more on my work, what I do, update my blog etc instead of thinking I have to update my website. !!
Sometimes you just wish you had so many more hours in one day... as you probably wish too:)

Trolska Skogen: Yesterday I was out working on a photoshoot. I did makeup and hair for Trolska Skogen in Mellanfjärden. Trolska Skogen is a paradise/ fairytale land for youngsters and entire families! Here you can enter the world and woods of goblins, elfs, fairies, trolls.. and make the fairytale real!. I really do recommend you check it out and come visit them this summer!
I am also working on another project for Trolska Skogen, a project I will tell you more about later.... Tonight I will start working on planning this project and trying out a few things..

Been really busy past few days and this continues. Well, tomorrow I'll be heading to Norrköping to wear this mask that I created for www.preybird.com . This mask was created for the cover to his new album and we will have a photo shoot tomorrow. This will be fun and I will keep you updated with the result and show you photos later on...

In September/October 2011 I was working on a TV program for kids called "Mytologerna" ( "mythbusters"), creating makeup, mask & hair for the tv-program. I had such a great time working with the team involved and the program has got 12 espisodes and the first episode will air tomorrow! Since this will air in Sweden, I will write a bit more about this in Swedish. I took photos of the characters I created for the show, and I will upload them and show them to you as the programs airs! I have also uploaded a trailer that was released for the show..

Other than this I am working on completing the mask for www.preybird.com now and meeting tomorrow with a team regarding a bigger project I might be involved in. Imorgon sänds första avsnittet av barnprogrammet Mytologerna. Jag jobbade som makeup artist/maskör i denna produktion! Ska bli spännande att se alla avsnitt! I received it yesterday, my photo with the photographic manipulation created by UK artist Gareth J Swift. I was blown away. I love it. Outstanding work, once again by Gareth. I haven't got words to describe how awesome I think his work is, and not to forget the fact that he is such a nice person too! I love how he managed to capture the spirit of the photo and give it thi dark but beautiful twist.

A while ago I wrote about my collaboration with awesome UK Artist Gareth J Swift! Gareth is such a talent, creating kick ass Photographic digital manipulations and he has been working on a manipulation of me, on one of my photos! Now, rumour is he is getting close to revealing this new artwork of his- and I cannot wait to see what he has created with my photo!!!!!As soon as I get my hands on it I will show it to you all!

Happy New year to you all! Hope you had a smashing new years eve and that you are looking forward to what 2012 will bring! I for one am so looking forward to this year! I am working a lot with my artwork Skulls And Bones- www.skullartistry.com as well as working on a new mask order for a photoshoot with musician Preybird www.preybird.com .

Raubtiers new musicvideo that I worked on in December should also soon be released, cannot wait to see that!! Also, just before Christmas I work with Marklund Film on a informative film.. so I have been rather a busy bee!

As it is now I have got something bigger in the pipeline, something I cannot speak of yet, but if this all goes down well I will be working on a kick ass big project! I will update you all later when I know more about it and can talk about it!
